Zarząd firmy Digital Illusions, twórcy serii Battlefield, nie zgodził się na warunki Electronic Arts w sprawie wykupienia całości firmy. Tym sposobem, na niczym spełzły starania światowego giganta na przejęciu ciekawie zapowiadającej się spółki. W takim razie EA musi zadowolić się posiadaniem jedynie 28 % DICE (do tej pory EA była w posiadaniu jedynie 19% akcji).

podoba mi sie wasz entuzjazm, tylko skad wiecie ze to tak fajnie? rozumiem ze macie dostep do raportu rocznego dice i optymistycznej analizy gieldowej

Nie dali się, trzymają fason, twórcy takiej gry muszą mieć fason. Jakby POLAKOM zaproponowali takie warunki to nie dość, żeby sprzedali taką firmę, to by jeszcze z 2 rafinerie, 2 banki i 4 elektrociepłownie gratis dorzucili. BRAVO DICE! My ze swojej strony zawsze możemy powołać fundację na rzecz DICE!

No i dobrze że Dice się nie poddaje ;D . Mam nadzieje że EA nie będzie próbowała znowu....i nię będzie tak że kawałek, po kawałku EA zje Dice. Tak tzrymać!

Videogame maker Electronic Arts Inc. on Monday said it made a tender offer for all outstanding shares of Swedish game developer Digital Illusions CE AB, or DICE, for an undisclosed amount.
The offer is scheduled to close Dec. 27.
In 2003 Electronic Arts bought 19 percent of DICE's shares, and the companies entered into a 15-year distribution agreement under which they produced "Battlefield 1942", "Battlefield: The Road to Rome", and "Battlefield Vietnam".
Electronic Arts shares rose $1.89, or nearly 4 percent, to $49.48 on the Nasdaq in midday trading. "

The Board has evaluated the conditions for the offer. The evaluation leads the Board to make the following statement.
In light of the challenges that the game industry faces, with increased development costs and the coming technological change, the Board is of the opinion that a merger between Digital Illusions and EA is industrially and strategically correct. EA can bring the technology and resources that make possible and facilitate the transition to the new game platforms.
On behalf of the Board, Nordea Corporate Finance has evaluated the public offer of SEK 61 [€6.81 approx] per Series A share to Digital Illusions shareholders and has, in a report to the Board, expressed the opinion that the offered price is fair from a financial point of view.
Based on a collective assessment, the Board is of the opinion that the offer is fair and has therefore unanimously decided to recommend the shareholders of Digital Illusions to accept the offer.
